Have you ever wanted to make a wallet game? (Yes, I get DMs a LOT about this!)

Do you like the challenge of working under tight restrictions? (Of course you do!)

Now is your chance. If you've seen our previous wallet games, you know the format.

Timeline

Initial Submissions will be accepted from Monday April 11, 2016 at 12:00 AM EST until Sunday May 8, 2016 at 11:59 EST.

Initial Judging will take place from Tuesday May 10, 2016 until Friday May 20, 2016

Finalists will be notified by Monday May 23, 2016 and will have until Sunday May 29, 2016 at 11:59 EST to provide an up-to-date Print and Play copy of their game.

Final Judging will occur between Monday May 30, 2016 and June 17, 2016.

Winners will be announced Friday June 24, 2016

Component Limitations

A Wallet Game may only use the components listed below:

12-18 Cards
Vinyl Wallet
Score Paper/Pen
4 Panel Rule Sheet (this is a folded rule sheet that is essentially the size of 4 double sided playing cards. See example below.)

Submission Requirements

For each submission, you will need to send the following to buttonshycontest@gmail.com.

1. Pitch Video (5 minutes or less)
   You will need to provide a link to a video elevator pitch of your game.  This may also include examples of play. This video can be hosted either on your own site or a public one like YouTube or Vimeo.
2. Rules
   You will need to provide a link to a complete rules document that is sufficient for a reader to learn to play the game. The rules can be hosted on either your own site, or a public one like Dropbox or Google Drive.
3. Game Description
   Including Game Title, Player Count, Estimated Play Time, Recommended Ages (if any), Brief Description of the gameplay and theme (if any).
4. Contact Information

 

Additional Restrictions

Designs must be original works that do not infringe on any intellectual property. All submissions must not be publicly available through any retail, secondary or print-on-demand market and may not be currently under consideration for publication by other publishers.

Designers must be 18 years or older to enter.

While designs need not have final artwork or graphics, they should be complete and usable. All designs remain the intellectual property of the designers.

After Submitting

If your game is chosen as a finalist, you will be asked to send a Print and Play file for finalist testing.

Prizes

The winning designer will receive $100.

The 2nd and 3rd Place entries will each receive $50.

All entries may be considered for publication.
