Experience the Pope at home this weekend with Avignon: A Clash of Popes! (2 page / 2 player PNP)

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that this weekend is the Meeting of Families with the Pope in Philadelphia. Personally, it’s sent my whole town into pure chaos... and I’m across the bridges, 4 miles into the next state over. They’ve declared a state of emergency, roads are blocked, and they are expecting cards parked everywhere with people walking to the city.
With all of that going on, it sounds like a good weekend to stay in and have my own little Meeting of Families and play some board games with mine.

While you might not be experiencing the same chaos, you can experience the Pope at home with a 2 page Print and Play version of Avignon: A Clash of Popes by John duBois. Avignon is a 2 player tactical influence manipulation game with a touch of abstract strategy. It’s a quick head to head struggle for control set in the 14th century papal/political conflict.

This game will be one of the next Button Shy Wallet Games. These are micro sized games packaged in vinyl wallets for maximum portability. It follows Pretense, Cunning Folk and a handful of others. Avignon will be coming to Kickstarter in early 2016.

Here's the PNP. It's 2 pages (plus rules) and very light on ink.

And here are 3 bonus cards that we are testing. Please give us your thoughts!
