Imperial Assault or Pretense?

Can you name another Kickstarter video where the main focus is a complete other game? In the Pretense video, we spend most of the time playing Imperial Assault. But guess what, we're also playing Pretense! That's what makes Pretense so special, is that you will play it during Imperial Assault and you'll play it during Love Letter. You'll play it during Werewolf and also during Monopoly. Pretense will be launching on Kickstarter this week

After a bunch of number crunching, rules editing, video production, and all that fun stuff... I've gotten Pretense to the point where it's ready to go on Kickstarter. I'll be launching it Wednesday with a cool $500 goal. Why so low of a goal? Well, that's the minimum it's going to take to get the wallet game process going. I've paid for the art, so while it would be nice to make it back, it's not crucial in getting to the next stage of production. I need to fund the wallets, rules and card production and $500 is just enough...

Pretense - A game that lasts the entire game night.

I've always wanted to do something weird. Well, not just something generally weird (yes, that too)... but instead I've had the specifically odd concept of creating a game that plays during other games, or even alongside other games. It's not the most original idea, but it's always been a challenge that I wanted to tackle. I've thought of games where you do things in-between turns and in-between other games, but nothing ever felt natural.
